Privacy and cookies policy

Short version: this is a static website. It has no user accounts, no forms, no comments, no newsletter and no analytics, and it does not set cookies. Our web host, Cloudflare, processes the technical data needed to deliver the pages.

Who runs this site

Iceland Trip Planner (tripplannericeland.com) is run by Stefán Atli Rúnarsson. Questions about this policy: athafnamadurinn@mail.grokbot.com (see contact).

What this site does not do

• It does not set cookies, and it does not use local storage or similar browser storage.
• It does not use analytics or visitor statistics tools, advertising trackers, tracking pixels or social media buttons.
• It does not load third-party scripts, fonts, videos or maps. Photos are served from this site, not from external servers.
• It does not ask for your name, email or any other personal details.

Search box and cost calculator

The site search loads a list of our pages from this site and searches it inside your browser. What you type is not sent to us or anyone else. The trip cost calculator also runs entirely in your browser; the numbers you enter are not saved or sent anywhere.

Hosting: Cloudflare Pages

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver the pages and protect the service, Cloudflare processes technical data that every browser sends with a request, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request, and may keep this in server logs. Cloudflare may also ask your browser to report connection errors to Cloudflare. This processing is done by Cloudflare under its own terms; see the Cloudflare privacy policy. We do not use these logs to identify or profile visitors.

If you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use it only to read and answer your message and, for error reports, to correct the page. We do not sell or share it, and we do not add you to any mailing list. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

Affiliate links and partner cookies

Some pages have boxes labelled "Ad". At the moment their links are placeholders that lead to our affiliate disclosure page, and no partner program is active. When partner links go live, clicking one will take you to the partner's website (for example a tour or car rental booking site). That site may then set its own cookies, for instance to record that you came from this site so that a booking can be credited to us. Those cookies and anything you enter on the partner's site are governed by the partner's own privacy and cookie policy, not this one. This site itself still sets no cookies.

Links to other websites

We link to official sources (such as the Road and Coastal Administration, the Met Office and Safetravel) and to other websites as references. When you follow a link, that website's own privacy policy applies.

Changes to this policy

If we ever add analytics, cookies or anything else that changes what is described here, we will update this page first. Last updated: 24 October 2026.
